Empty cartridge postal collection scheme launched

Free empty cartridge recycling scheme membership with rewards

Sterling Capital Limited, a European company providing international marketing solutions to the remanufacturing industry, announces the launch of a new postage-based empty cartridge recycling scheme throughout Europe.

Offering remanufacturers, distributors and retailers of printer cartridges the opportunity to earn substantial profits post-sale by encouraging end-users to recycle old cartridges, the scheme provides participants with free recycling envelopes and competitive prices for empty cartridges collected. The initiative has proven hugely popular in the United Kingdom and Northern Europe for its simplicity and its zero-cost investment. The scheme is now being launched throughout the rest of Europe, including Russia and the CIS.

For several years, OEM’s have been inserting recycling envelopes into new printer cartridge boxes to encourage end-users to recycle. This concept has been successfully adapted and improved by Sterling Capital (SCA) through the implementation of incentive schemes and the introduction of prepaid postage recycling envelopes, which have been proven to encourage end-users to actively participate in recycling. The company is offering cartridge remanufacturers, distributors and retailers free recycling postage-paid envelopes in either white-label format or with their own brand logo for insertion into their cartridge packaging, providing them the opportunity to earn significant revenues on the empty cartridges returned by end-users to its postage sorting hub and regional depots situated throughout Europe.

The scheme works using bar-code scanning technology and state of the art sorting and inspection facilities. Every client subscribing to the scheme is allocated a unique bar-code which is printed onto the plastic recycling envelope. Every recycling envelope received at the processing facility is automatically read and assigned to the respective client. Once the cartridge has been identified and it passes QC inspection the client account is immediately credited. Providing real-time inventory data, clients are able to check online current stock, model and accumulated profit. Payment can be made on a monthly basis to client accounts in a currency of their choice.

Prospective participants are practically guaranteed extra profit on their existing cartridge sales using the scheme, with evidence compiled by the company demonstrating 20% of end-users will recycle their empty cartridges given the opportunity and a convenient method. Prospective scheme members need only to evaluate their current sales volumes and make the assumption that at least 20% of their sales could result in cash back, by accepting this simple proposition to generate
profit on existing sales at zero-cost.

For Chinese OEM manufacturers the scheme is an excellent sales and marketing support aid for their distributors and wholesalers in Europe. SCA Managing Director Simon Shekyls says, '' the project enables closer cooperation between producers of cartridges and their clients, enhancing the relationship''. Adding, ''not only will European customers enjoy a new revenue stream, but their Chinese partners will become less dependent on empty cartridge brokers and traders''.
